5.4 New Files Effect of Track Splitter™

When you select "New files" in Track Splitter™, with silence detection, the  the program will create several  files, each time  when silence is detected in source sound, a new file is being created. Effects of this silence detection are different  depend on the delay value you have chosen.

Short silences in some sound source are necessary like in dialogues, some songs or lectures. You may not want to split source sound to different files for short silence, and   keep the  silence as a part of the recorded sound to make the result  more reasonable. You can do so by selecting a delay value when you do the configuration in Track Splitter™. The value can be from 0 to 10 seconds. Silence more than 10 seconds is considered too long, and it makes no sense to store a piece of silence more than 10 seconds in the result sound, and of course we think it will be a new theme after 10 seconds silence.

The following sample graphs illustrate the results for different delay values:

New Files in Track Splitter™

Source sound :

There are 3  segments silence  in this piece of sound, which are 3 seconds, 8 seconds, and 1 seconds.

Sound Effets Source
0 second delay:
4 files are created. Every file is  created immediately when silence is detected, there no any silence in the result sound.

Sound Effets New Files 0s
2 seconds delay:
3 files are created. The silence which is less than 2 seconds, the silence is kept in one file of the result sound. silences more than 2 seconds are split into different files, which have  2 seconds silence at the end of  the files.
Sound Effets New Files 2s
5 seconds delay:
2  files are created. The silence which is less than 5 seconds, the silence is kept in one file of the result sound. silences more than 5 seconds are split into a different file, which have 5 seconds silence at the end of  the file.
Sound Effets New Files 5s
10 seconds delay:
Only 1  file is created. For the source sound in this case( there's no silence more than 10 seconds ) , the result sound will be the same as the source sound.
